Plastic surgery of posterior vaginal wall
Lowering of the posterior vaginal wall is one of the pelvic organ static disorders. In this situation the vaginal wall and the rectum are lowered/prolapsed. This leads to discomfort, pain, and end-stage gastrointestinal complaints such as constipation, difficulty passing stools, feeling of incomplete stools and pain during intercourse.
The procedure is performed to repair the defect of the rectovaginal fascia - that is, to suture its damage in order to rebuild proper rectum support and to repair the vaginal anatomy.
