Plastic surgery of anterior vaginal wall / Doubling of pubovaginal fascia
Lowering of the anterior vaginal wall is one of the most common pelvic organ static disorders. In this situation, the vaginal wall and the bladder are lowered/prolapsed. This leads to discomfort, pain and lower urinary tract complaints such as daytime urinary frequency, need to urinate at night or urgencies.
The procedure is performed to repair the defect in the pubovaginal fascia - that is, to suture its damage in order to rebuild proper bladder support and to repair the vaginal anatomy.
