The lift treatment is a technique which uses threads for tissue lifting. This technique, which is characterised with minimum invasiveness, is used to lift and relocate flabby tissue of the central face part.
The lift treatment is recommended for patients above the age of 40, whose skin has lost the youthful appearance, first signs of aging have appeared within the face and cheek area, but condition of the skin is too good to perform a traditional surgical lift.
The lift treatment threads are made of polypropylene – material which is bio-compatible with the human body and which has been used in cardiovascular surgery and eye surgery for years.
The face lift wuth threads will not stop the aging process, but it may only lift the deeper face structures and tighten the skin, thus providing a rejuvenation effect. The procedure may be performed alone or in combination with other procedures such as eyebrow lift with threads, liposuction, eyelid correction or nose surgery. The procedure is tailored to meet the patient's needs. The best candidates are patients with slight sagging of the skin, with elastic skin and distinctive bone structures.

The procedure can be performed under local or general anaesthesia, and will last approximately 1-1.5 hours. Depending on the procedure location, the surgeon makes small openings in the skin for entering the thread, which - with the help of hooks - pulls the tissues up when the thread is tightened. After the procedure, dressings are made for the patient and, depending on the anaesthetisation method, the patient stays at the clinic for 24 hours (general anaesthesia) or leaves the clinic after a short time (local anaesthesia).
The procedure will take approximately 1 hour. After the procedure you will need to stay in the recovery room for at least 1 night. 2 Please keep your head elevated to reduce swelling. Do not use pillows that move your head forward. Try to keep your neck straight with your chin up. 3. Please do not lower your head below the level of your heart. 4. You may apply cold compresses to the treatment area, but remember that these should be close to the area, but not put pressure on the area. The bandage should adhere gently to the operated area; any trauma to the area or pressure should be avoided for approximately 24 hours after the surgery. 5. Bandages will be applied after the operation. These will be changed after 24 hours. Your face may be bruised after the operation. Bruising may last for about 2 weeks. You will usually be able to apply make-up after a few days. Auriderm XO cream can be applied to the bruising 3-4 times per day. 6. About 1 week after the procedure you should not talk or laugh a lot. This is to reduce activity of the muscles responsible for facial expressions. It is also recommended to eat semi-liquid food; the food should be cold and lukewarm, never hot. Avoid foods that require long chewing. Do not smile and avoid facial movements for 1 week 7. Brush your teeth only with a soft toothbrush. Avoid upper lip movements 8. It is recommended to disinfect the area of openings in the skin with hydrogen peroxide 3 days after the treatment. Mild soap is recommended for daily cleaning. A shower can be taken immediately after the treatment, but water temperature should not be high. 9. Make-up can be used, but only from newly opened cosmetics; these products should be sterile. Since there are holes in the skin through which the cannula is inserted, non-sterile products may allow bacteria to enter the connective tissue. Cosmetics must come from a sterile, new container. 10. Avoid long telephone conversations for at least 10-14 days. 11. Do not undertake any physical efforts for 1 month. Physical effort and constipation may cause an increase in blood pressure, which may lead to bleeding and require additional surgery.
