The diode laser emits a beam of light that is absorbed by the hair pigment, leading to destruction of the hair bulb. The Venus Velocity diode laser uses a wavelength of 800 nm, so there is a balance between high energy absorption by melanin chromophores and the depth of skin penetration, which enables safe and effective treatments.

Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be slightly blushed. After laser epilation, do not use the sauna, tanning bed or take hot baths. For 6 weeks after the teatment, skin of the treatment area must not be exposed to UV radiation (sunbathing or using the tanning bed is prohibited). Application of SPF 50 creams in daily care is recommended.
